I have too many hobbies. Photography is one that I bounce in and out of. A few years back, I took a certificate course at George Brown College. The classes were great, because it forced me to shoot and sometimes to take photographs which were outside of my usual comfort zone. Since I stopped taking the classes, I've mainly taken photos on canoe trips. I now take photographs mainly with a Nikon D300 digital SLR. I also own a Nikon F90x and an old Nikon FE (manual 35 mm camera) for film photography and a small digital compact from Nikon.
I don't use the film cameras much anymore, but they're pretty much worthless these days, so I'll keep them around. A few years ago, I gave myself a project by bringing only the manual camera and black-and-white film on a trip to New York City and I ended up with quite a few shots that I liked.
